Final game

At the NJCAA national championship, held in Rochester, Minnesota, the final two teams competing for the title were Ridgewater from Minnesota and Brookhaven from Texas. Because Brookhaven had back to back wins in the national championship, they thought they could take the nationals this year easily. These two teams played hard to get to the final match, each team was exceptionally talented. Brookhaven had Ridgwater with a height advantage, with front row blockers over six feet tall.
When it came time to play, both teams were on their toes ready to play with excitement. While warming up, many players stood out with their display of talent. On Ridgewater, I was impresses by an outside sophomore who had incredible ups for her height and a very powerful hit. Every player had a great deal of talent. Brookhaven underestimated the smart defense the Ridgewater had. Going to five games, each game was extremely close; every point seemed like the winning point for each team. In the final game to 15, every point was crucial. Ridgewater was losing 7-1 in the final game, but at one point they found a way to dig themselves out of the hole and push one point at a time to take the lead. Winning by two points, Ridgewater finally beat Brookhaven and were named the national champions of 2010.
With hard work and determination anything is possible. Ridgewater, the underdog team, sent home the number one ranked team with the will they had to win. The title of national champions was well deserved by Ridgewater.
