What are you thankful for this year?
Happy Thanksgiving! Here I am, celebrating my second Thanksgiving Day.
Happy Thanksgiving! Here I am, celebrating my second Thanksgiving Day.
I am thankful to be with my family this special day.
Thanksgiving is a day when we traditionally count the blessings in our lives.
Thanksgiving has come a long way since the time of the Pilgrims and Indians. Today, it was an opportunity to get my family together to watch football and feast on turkey, stuffing, cranberries, and pumpkin pie. Sure, I know that they will be thankful when their favorite team wins the big game. However, I really took my time to verbalize my gratitude for bigger things that I have. I told my loved ones how much they mean to me. This Thanksgiving I learned some funny ways to give thanks. I sent a message of”Happy Thanksgiving” to my friends. Before dinner, I asked everyone what they are most Thankful for this Thanksgiving. They had many different answers. I wrote down: “I am blessed to eat such a wonderful meal with those I love and appreciate most in this world.” I created a family journal with pictures that will be brought out every Thanksgiving. Each family member wrote things that they are thankful for throughout this year. The food and desserts were delicious. I helped to clean all of the Thanksgiving pots, pans and dinnerware after dinner without having to be asked or told, especially because I did not cooked. The simple act of saying “thank you,” no matter which way you choose to say these two special words, can really make the difference in someone’s life and will help keep me grounded.
